In 2018 the community of Ramsay lost the play area at Jeffries Park due to the construction work related to the Green Line LRT project. Losing this play area was unfortunate, but it provided an opportunity to replace it with a more inclusive play environment. The Ramsay Inclusive Playground serves children and community members of all abilities and needs an opportunity to play together. This is clearly evident through the unique play areas that feature steel slides with transfer seats for users with mobility limitations, sound panels and outdoor musical instruments for auditory stimulation, and a covered accessible merry-go-round that allows for multigenerational users to join in on the fun.

The project scope was completed in the fall of 2021 and also included the completion of split rail fencing, natural stone retaining walls, concrete paving and curbs, asphalt, and pour-in-place rubber surfacing.
