Main Duties and Responsibilities
Hand Crew
– Sweep or blow walkways clear of snow and ice.
– Remove snow manually &/or operating snow removal equipment such as snow shovels, scrapers, leaf blowers, snow blowers and other hand tools.
– Apply ice melt products.
– Early morning starts, extended hours, and weekend or holiday work.
– Participate in all required safety training and safety meetings. Follow safety procedures and report any hazards, incidents, or injuries as required by company policy and legislation.
Operator
– Conduct pre-shift inspections and maintenance on all vehicles and equipment.
– Proficiently and safely use snow removal equipment such as plows, skid steers and loaders, and other equipment to perform snow removal.
– Apply ice melt products.
– Early morning starts, extended hours, and weekend or holiday work.
– Participate in all required safety training and safety meetings. Follow safety procedures and report any hazards, incidents, or injuries as required by company policy and legislation.
Sanders (Trucking)
– Conduct pre-shift inspections and maintenance on all vehicles.
– Proficiently and safely use snow removal equipment.
– Early morning starts, extended hours, and weekend or holiday work.
– Participate in all required safety training and safety meetings. Follow safety procedures and report any hazards, incidents, or injuries as required by company policy and legislation.
– Class 3 for single axle or Class 5 for truck and trailer
